Bootes Foundation Grant

We would like to thank the Gordon and Gretel Bootes Foundation for their continued generous support with a recent project grant for $10,000 being awarded to the group. The project will be to further investigate a subset of microRNA that we believe play a crucial role in the inflammatory aspect of retinal degenerations.

Personally this is my first of hopefully many project grants as the lead investigator and for that I am extremely grateful. I’m excited for the opportunity to spearhead this project and hope we can find something that will contribute to the fight against AMD.
